Before you finally go for zip-lining, the instructor will take you through a full talk on safety and inform you about the surrounding area, you can also ask any questions that you may have. You will have to run off the cliff and dive head first out to the gorge, which of course will be super exciting for adrenaline junkies! This activity is perfect for the adventurous – the Victoria Falls Zip-line is still an exciting and fun-filled activity that is perfect for all ages, from the active elderly to young children. Smaller children are harnessed with their parents or guardians in a double harness so they can still experience this wonderful high wire adventure safely.

Users of zip-lines have means of stopping themselves at the end of the line, which includes:

  • The friction created between the pulley against the cable
  • Using thick purpose-built leather gloves
  • A mat or netting at the lower end of the incline
  • A passive arrester system composed of springs, pulleys, counterweights, bungee cord, tires or other devices, which slows and then stops the trolley's motion

What you will need to bring:

  • Strong lace-up shoes, which you will need as you walk out of the gorge
  • Comfortable trousers or shorts
  • Comfortable, loose short or long-sleeved shirt
  • Carry your camera, to have your zip-line moment captured!
