The range of commercial and subsistence farmers rearing animals in Zambia is growing exponentially. Highlighted here are the agribusinesses that run these enterprises. This includes either breeding them for profit that is for sale, sports, leisure or research and also for personal and commercial consumption. Animal husbandry is the management and care of farm animals by humans for profit, in which genetic qualities and behaviour, considered to be advantageous to humans, are further developed. Poultry, goat and cattle production on small and large scale farms is now a common farm activity.
