Zambia's private sector and civil society - working together for mutual benefit

Gone are the days when Civil Society could rely on CSR and other philanthropic support from the Private Sector because that was what was expected. Today the Private Sector, while in general still supportive of civil society organisations, are looking for more than just a statement in their annual reports on their CSR activities, such as cooperation to achieve mutually beneficial common goals.

This event, jointly presented by the British Chamber of Commerce and the Zambia Governance Foundation, will explore the opportunities for Civil Society and the Private Sector to work more closely together to contribute to Zambia’s economic growth and social cohesion.

Their speakers will be Barbara Nöst, CEO of the Zambian Governance Foundation: Japhet Banda, Communications and Corporate Affairs Manager from Zambia Sugar and, they hope for, a government representative.

Admission is free and open to all by prior registration. Please confirm your attendance by email before 28 May 2019.
