Impact Investment in Zambia

The British Chamber, in association with the Private Enterprise Programme, will be holding an event on Impact Investment, in advance of the Impact Capital Africa conference in October. The idea behind the event is to familiarise those attending with Impact Investment - what it is, how it differs from normal investment channels, its current state in Zambia and development in other countries.

The Zambian impact investment ecosystem is relatively nascent compared to other countries in the region, however the opportunities to grow the economy through impact investment are vast based on past investment deals involving Zambian companies.

Through an interactive panel discussion, the event will:

  • De-mystify impact investment; What is impact investment? How is it different from conventional investment?
  • Explore impact investment at a global and regional level
  • Explore Zambia’s experience with impact investment.
  • Highlight the successes, challenges and opportunities for impact investment in Zambia.

The panel will comprise Basil Nundwe - Inside Capital, Monica Musonda - Java Foods and Sven Haefner - 30Thirty Capital. Clive Shamwana as the moderator.

Please confirm your attendance by email by 10th September.
