The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will be hosting the World Investment Forum at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland from 22nd to 26th October, 2018 under the theme, ‘Investing in sustainable development’.
The Government of the Republic of Zambia has been allocated a slot at the Investment Village to showcase its national investment opportunities during the Forum at no cost. With the aforementioned, the Zambia Development Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry will lead a delegation of Zambian businesses to the event. The forum is expected to attract more than 5,000 investment stakeholders.
2018 marks the 10th anniversary of the Forum. The 2018 Forum will consist of some fifty events, including a grand opening, the Global Leaders Investment Summit, the Global Investment Game Changers Summit, ministerial roundtables, conferences, private sector-led sessions, Ted-style presentations, high-profile stakeholder roundtables, networking events, award ceremonies and an Investment Village.
