Just when you thought you had chewed off the last bits of fingernail during all the different nerve-wracking football tournaments so far, somebody has the audacity to announce that there are only 100 more days to the greatest football event in the world — the 2010 FIFA World Cup! (Not that you didn’t notice that when you crossed out the 101th day from your four year calendar.)

The painful four year wait is speedily coming to an end as we join FIFA in the countdown to the most exciting global tournament of the year! I hate to be the one to dispute a century old saying but ‘not all roads will be leading to Rome’ this time around. In the next few weeks it will be a mad rush for Africa ( a welcomed one for a change!) and this time the final destination will be South Africa, the first ever African country to host the prestigious FIFA Football World Cup.

South Africa and its neighbouring countries are seeing this event as an opportunity to showcase the many attractions in the region. And while the main objective will be to see the display of some of the best world class football ever played, football fans travelling to Africa to see the game first hand might want to fill in those impatient days while waiting for the next great game by taking time to experience some of the most INTRIGUING SITES and UNRIVALLED ADVENTURES that the continent has to offer.

Zambia is just one of the many countries boasting treasures for tourists. Just next door to South Africa, football fans wishing for more adventure during this period can jump onto the nearest form of TRANSPORTATION to get there and be sure of GREAT PLACES TO STAY, with just the right amount of exciting experiences in between games.

And if football fans’ favourite teams loose, at least they can get to change the uncomfortable and embarrassing subject once they get back home by impressing their friends with the great adventures experienced in Zambia! With tales of exciting safari adventures, white water rafting, bungee jumping, fishing and lots more, football fans who take the time to experience Zambia will definitely be the heroes of the day no matter the turnout of the world cup!
