Our biggest addition yet; Introducing Product Marketplace: List and sell your products and service packages online
Online shopping is popular around the world. It’s even common in Zambia. However, since there are not enough local options, Zambian shoppers have turned to using local couriers to deliver items they have purchased outside of Zambia. This process, however, is far from ideal — delivery is expensive, takes time and is high risk.
We are a proud nation and Zambians are itching to support local initiatives such as #proudlyzambian and #buyzambian. If there were stronger local options, it’s not inconceivable to imagine that Zambian shoppers would more readily choose local suppliers.
Today we’re taking the first step to solving a significant part of the online buying process — the ability to find, compare and choose products before physically visiting a vendor.
Today we’re beyond excited to announce our new Product Marketplace and Service Package listings, our biggest additions since we began thebestofzambia.com, 9 years ago.
Product Marketplace
The Product Marketplace is becoming the first place people visit to find all products being stocked by businesses in Zambia. The Marketplace has a powerful search, sorting and filtering system to help people make better purchasing decisions by finding exactly what they’re looking for, comparing multiple products and suppliers, and finally, choosing the right product for them.
Mobile Monsters list their Phones and Accessories in the Marketplace. Computer Express list their Computers and Accessories, Saro Agro their Tractors and Moringa their Teas.
Service package listings
We already list business services, but starting from today, we also list all the business services broken down into the various packages and options offered by businesses.

We’re already listing over 3,000 services by businesses in Zambia — every possible combination of service a business can offer. But today we’re also allowing you to breakdown those services into packages. If you previously listed your hotel offering, today you can break that down into each individual room package you offer. If you listed a spa, today you can list each individual type of massage package you offer. If you listed your secondary school, now you can break that down into each of the secondary school fee options you provide.
Ndole Bay now list their Adventure packages on their Profile page. Lake Road School show their Tuition fees, Kunji Hair and Spa their Hair styles, and Mika Convention Centre their Conference packages.
