It’s a busy summer for Plates Restaurant and Wine bar! The restaurant has kept up its spirit of constant innovation by introducing an exciting new menu for October and still remains one of the leading wine bars in Zambia with constant wine tasting events to blow wine lovers away.

Wine tastingLast week, Plates got its wine glasses out and hosted a SPAR Zambia wine tasting evening called, ‘Wine From Around the World.’ The event was to welcome a container of European wines that SPAR has recently brought to the Zambian market. Plates has also recently received several new European wines, which it is selling by the bottle and by the case. There is a 10% discount if you buy a case of 6, and 20% discount if you buy a case of 12.

October menuThis October Plates has introduced a mouth watering new and exciting dish! The new special is the Creole Mustard BBQ which is made up of chicken served with rice, butternut squash and summer veggies. It is absolutely delicious!

If that has not got you hungry yet then Plates new October menu certainly will. Some of the dishes are:

  • Asparagus and prosciutto salad
  • Smoked salmon board
  • Garlic and rosemary marinated pork fillet
  • Brazillian churrasco steak
  • Strawberry shortcake

Are you a cheese fan?Cheese lovers were not left out this summer either. Plates is offering private cheese making sessions for groups of six to ten people. Visit Plates to learn traditional cheese making, including how to make ricotta, haloumi and mozzarella. What’s more, you can take the cheese you make home with you and impress your family and friends.

October eventsPlates has a fun itinerary for October so be sure to pop in and enjoy all the exciting offers. This month’s events include:

Summertime wine tastingJoin Plates in raising your glasses for two wine tasting events on Thursday the 13th of October and Thursday the 27th, both at 18:00. Enjoy wines and snacks for only K80, 000.

Whiskey tastingFor the more macho kind of drinker Plates offers you the chance to taste the difference between blends and single malts! Whiskeys and snacks for only K80, 000.
