The eighth Zambian Art and Design Show took place on a bright Sunday morning — 7th December 2014. As early as 7:30hrs exhibitors and show goers were lined up at the front gates eager to see what the show had in store for them. This year’s show had exhibitors from all over the country, and others from Zimbabwe and Malawi.
Rooney’s provided great tents as usual, doing a great job ensuring the shelter at the show was up to standard and working tirelessly to ensure that the Polo Cross grounds were set up on time. There was an FNB ATM, a bar for refreshments, mobile toilets (courtesy of Rooney’s) to mention but a few of the facilities.
Art enthusiasts, designers and generally people with an eye for rare jewels, were the patrons of this years Zambian Art and Design Show. Parents brought their children and children dragged along their grandparents because let’s face it, what’s a Sunday if you are not on Granny’s lap or chasing your kids around for no reason!
The freebiesThe Wine Shop was showcasing their affordable exotic wines and spiced whiskey. Free wine tasting was available from their very friendly staff. The friendly Blue Moon Cafe staff provided burgers that proved popular and mouth watering.
Umoyo did not let people forget about leading a healthy lifestyle, with its staff giving free health advice to the show goers. Royal Zambezi was also present with a raffle for the show goers to win something this festive season.
