I’m ashamed to admit that the scariest thing I ever did while visiting the Victoria Falls a few years back was to walk across the famous knife edge bridge which I must say was aptly named, there is a reason they call it KNIFE EDGE Bridge!! Yes, you guessed right, I’m terribly afraid of heights so bungee jumping, rock climbing or anything distinctly exciting that had to do with heights was out of the question!

But something about the beautiful and powerful waters of the Victoria Falls put the spirit of courage in an old timid, enough to attempt the cross at least, and to this day it remains one of the most memorable experiences in my life! The bridge not only offers the faint hearted a worthwhile adrenaline rush but also offers a beautiful view of the falls and the slightly intimidating boiling point where the river turns and heads down into the Batoka Gorge. A raincoat is an absolute necessity if you’re fussy about getting wet especially during the wet season which runs from late November to early April because if the rain doesn’t get you, the spray from the falls definitely will!!

But fear not if you are a risk taker and adrenaline junkie, the Victoria Falls has a lot more exciting experiences to offer!! From white water rafting, skydiving, helicopter rides and so much more to get your heart racing. There’s a lot not only to discover but also experience about the Victoria Falls but don’t worry, I’m here to hold your hand through it. (As long as you don’t need me to climb anything!!) Watch out for more exciting posts from me!

I’ll be blogging regularly here over the next few months, looking forward to sharing insights, experiences and much more with you!
