It’s been an exciting week for me! Over the past month or so I have been blogging on some of the best things about Zambia and this week I got a chance to attend The Zambia International Travel Show (ZITE) where I got to meet some of the many interesting people behind some of the best services being provided not only in Zambia but regionally and overseas as well!
The best of Zambia was just one of the many businesses exhibiting at this year’s ZITE show at Mulungushi Conference Centre in Lusaka and I must say everyone pulled out all the stops to make sure visitors got an authentic idea of what was on offer.
In its third year, ZITE is a tourism marketing event that brings together the best of local and regional tourism products whilst attracting international visitors and buyers. Exhibitor categories included accommodation, tour operators, game lodges, industry associations, adventure, safari companies and many more.
Exhibitors’ stands were decorated in any manner they wished to best represent what they are all about. Visitors from the tourism sector as well as members of the general public had the exciting role of going round to any stand of their choice to get more information about the services provided.
This year’s theme was “crossing boundaries within and beyond”, and I am proud to mention that’s exactly what we are doing here at the best of Zambia! Withstatistics showing that 50% of people going on our site are from within Zambia and 50% outside of the country, we are definitely reaching out to both the local and international community.
The show was only three days but it was a great opportunity for us to share the news about our Google visibility that’s going through the roof, as well as exciting new things we are doing at the best of Zambia, like launching our suped up website in a few weeks, and the introduction of travel training courses. If you didn’t make it to the show don’t worry, you can learn more about us and the services we provide by checking out our website!

Editors’ Note: A big thanks to Africast for creating this year’s amazingly successful international show right here in Lusaka! And to the staff of Mulungushi International Conference Centre who worked tirelessly and carefully ensured nothing went astray (yes they even put away our table cloth until we came for it as they were concerned it might get lost!)
