Zambian Fashion Week 2012

Tonight, Lusaka city will experience a buzz of glitz and glam as the Zambian Fashion Week kicks off at 18:00 hours at the prestigious New Government Complex. The Zambian Fashion Week is one of the biggest fashion events in the Zambian fashion calendar and aims to showcase some of the best Zambian fashion designers.

The Zambian Fashion Week is organised by Afro Multi Media Productions, the company that took it over from Gillian Baker and has been running the show for the past two years. The Fashion Week is an annual event that has been running since 2005. This year’s show is guaranteed to bring out each designer’s creative prowess as the show deliberately has no specific theme, allowing designers to get as creative as they wish.

The show is running from the 31st November to the 2nd of November at The New Government Complex within the Grand Ballroom. The show is absolutely free to everyone who would like to attend during these three days. Each evening includes lots of entertainment by local artists, and runs from 18:00 to 20:00 hours.

Grand Finale, 3rd November, 15:00 hoursZambian Fashion Week will come to a stylish close with a Grand Finale event hosted at Polo Grill Lusaka on the 3rd of November. This finale will showcase over 150 designs, jewellery and accessories. Entertainment will be provided by some of Zambia’s finest artists.

The Grand Finale will start at 15:00 hours. Tickets are going for K50,000 per person. Anyone interested in purchasing tickets can contact Karen 0977891216 or Linda 0979105276 (hurry up — tickets are running out fast!)
