Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, The Simonsberg appellation has been called Cabernet Country, and with good reason! Cabernet has been grown here for over 300 years and produces classic, elegant examples of the varietal. Notes of cassis, tobacco leaf, and Moroccan mint.
